Non mais c’est vrai quoi… Pas un osti de commentaire depuis que j’ai commencé ce blogue. J’ai pris la peine de tout copier-coller mes anciennes entrées de blogue parce qu’il n’y avait pas de façon d’exporter le vieux blogue. Et bref, Rien! Nada! J’ai l’impression que j’ai fait tout ça pour rien, car personne ne vient lire ce blogue. Coudonc tout le monde est rendu des Facebook zombies ou quoi?

Wow! Cyanogenmod will never stop amazing me! With the latest update it is now ridiculously easy to do Tethering! Just one box to tick on the phone… Then on the Ubuntu side… NOTHING special to do! It’ll just pick up the connection from the USB and off you go!

I finally decided (I really didn’t want to do that actually, until I got into problems using my imported G1 in China – couldn’t sync my gmail account anymore nor download from the market) to “root” my Android phone and install a modified (hacked) version of Android. I went through countless forums and instructions, and tried several different versions and howtos, until I stumbled upon Cyanogenmod, which is by far the best I’ve found so far.

Bon certains ont suggéré à propos de mon récent billet qui décrivait comment utiliser le “tethering” sous Android et Ubuntu (cliquez ici pour le lien vers le billet en question) que la procédure était beaucoup trop compliquée etc. Hmm! Peut-être mais vraiment je trouve qu’elle en vaut la peine! Celà fait plusieurs fois que je suis sur la route, sans Wifi, sans connection quelconque, et que je dois utiliser mon laptop d’urgence pour le boulot, par exemple.

J’ai enfin trouvé un resto à Shanghai qui offre vraiment de la bouffe vietnamienne authentique (ou presque!): Pho Yummy!
