First: Evan Prodromou Panel on Friday, March 12 @ 3:30 PM
StatusNet CEO, Evan Prodromou is presenting on Friday on a panel titled "Selling Your Milk When the Cow is Free" about Open Source business models, like StatusNet Inc:
Using open source is one thing, but can your idea succeed if you give your own work away? Scrappy entrepreneurs will discuss that question, share their own experiences with open source business models, and offer advice to others considering open source licenses.
Of course, its a great topic. Surely @evan will also hit some of the points he recently did on the great @jzb interview with Evan for ostatic. Evan closed out the interview with a nice nugget by saying:
[StatusNet has] a lot on our plate for the next couple of years. In the near term, we're going to concentrate on providing enterprise status updates for our business customers. But we also want to make sure that an open and distributed social Web continues to grow and thrive.

Second: Jon Phillips (@rejon) Panel, "Can I Copyright a Tweet?," is Saturday, March 13 @ 12:30 PM
Fred Benenson from Kickstarter reached out to me to be on this panel along with Wendy Seltzer to explore copyright, IP and how it effects status updates. While its *interesting* especially for shorter texts, with StatusNet you can have from 1 to unlimited characters.
The write-up states:
What happens if someone sells your tweet on a t-shirt? Or when CNN puts it on their 24 hours news network? These question may initially appear ridiculous, but when authors are penning entire books through their microblogs these are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. Join us for a mostly serious look at the implications raised by reuse, syndication and commercial exploitation of microcontent.
