Multilingual sprint updates + événement en français cette week-end (sur IRC)

Ryan Weal

Salut tout le monde!

In the spirit of our multilingual code sprint we held in 2011 I would like to give everyone an update on what has been happening with the Drupal 8 Multilingual initiative.

Following our sprint there was a sprint at DrupalCon Denver. I attended the sprint as did some folks at Evolving Web. Much progress has been made and many of our contributions are already part of Drupal 8! There are more sprints and much work to do to get all of our multilingual dreams accomplished in D8.

Currently I am working on developer documentation. Even just reading over the issues and responding with your thoughts will help keep thing moving along.

How you can help right now

Two top priority issues need review, comments and contributions if you have the time: and

We also need to get Entity Translation into core:

The rest of the issues are summarized on Gábor's website:

Lastly, you can join our meetings on IRC. Today we had a meeting, so the next will be in 2 weeks, Wednesday May 9. Meetings are currently at 12 noon Eastern. Details are posted here:

Today's meeting log is here:

Upcoming Code Sprints

Paris - cette semaine! - 28-29 avril 2012
Si tu espères parler avec autres en français des taches de i18n c'est un bonne idée à joindre la groupe #drupal-i18n sur IRC à participer!

Barcelona - Friday, June 15, to Sunday, June 17, 2012

DrupalCon Munich - August 2012
I do not have details on this yet, but I am sure something is being planned.

Cool new modules!

At some of the last sprints some contributors have been working on an overhaul to the translation interface. The result is the TMGMT, or Translation Management Tool, contrib module. I plan on using it for future projects, you should too!
