Main responsibilities
The main role of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV consultant is to assist Createch clients in the deployment of the Dynamics NAV solution. As such, he is required to :
-Implement the manufacturing and distribution modules of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP software, at our clients;
-Rapidly grasp and analyze the essential elements of a business process to identify its strengths and areas which require improvement;
-Understand the interdependence between processes in order to effectively guide our clients;
-Draft functional development specifications;
-Participate in the improvement of our processes; implementation and others;
-Provide user training to our clients.
Essential skills/abilities
-Hold an undergraduate diploma in industrial engineering, operations management or in a pertinent discipline or corresponding education;
-Possess at least three (3) years relevant experience as an ERP software implementation consultant or a minimum of five (5) years experience as an expert user;
-Have working knowledge of Microsoft NAV ERP software. Experience with the following ERP solutions will be taken into consideration: Great Plains, Vantage, Syteline, Syspro, Baan etc;
-Have excellent functional knowledge in manufacturing and distribution ;
Have good functional knowledge in three or more of the following areas: procurement, sales management, production planning and management (MPS/MRP),materials and stock management, expedition management, warehouse management system (WMS);
-Have a good command of MS Office tools;
-Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, in both French and English;
-Be willing to travel outside city of residence to carry out projects (within the province of Quebec);
-Team player;
-Customer service oriented.
Desirable skills/abilities
-CPIM certification, APICS association;
-Experience in business process reengineering, preferably in ERP projects;
-Basic knowledge in finance;
-Experience with reporting tools and MS-SQL database;
-Be able to adapt and summarize;
-Strive to continually increase knowledge.
